Slide Show posted of Annie Kittens at 5 weeks
April 28, 2009
I only had time to post one slideshow. More photos to come.
Hi to Christopher and Michael!! There are pictures with BeBe posted with his name so you can find him. You might be able to find another picture of BeBe without his name posted if you look carefully.
I will do a separate slide show soon of just BeBe so you can see him by himself. He likes to pose for the camera so he's lots of fun to take pictures of.
All the babies are gentle and affectionate kitties who love to be handled. The two girls are Blue-Cream Bicolor (Zorrha) and Seal Tortie Bicolor (PollyAnna). The boys are BeBe (Blue Bicolor, a second boy is also Blue bicolor (not yet named) and the third is Seal Bicolor (not yet named). Imagine that, an entire litter of Bicolor babies!!
Enjoy!

What happened to the Post about Lola? and more updates
April 28, 2009
Our lovely girl Lola had her babies but unexpectedly we lost all but one of them. I removed the update on her kittens because I received such a huge influx of enquiries about her babies. It's a very sad situation. Lola was even feeling depressed and I had taken to syringing nutrients into her as well because she just wouldn't eat. Now mom and her one little baby are doing well. Lola is enjoying her raw chicken gizzards with gusto. She doesn't care about canned food or even tuna but she loves her chicken hearts and livers. I'm thrilled that one wee baby is a fighter and doing very well. Lola has never had any issues with kittens before so this was definitely unexpected.
New photos of our expectant mommies Rosie and Jorja will be posted in the slideshow soon! They are both due early May. They are both huge but Rosie especially so.
I plan to snap pics today of Annies babies since I haven't for a while. They are eating and growing really well. Such sweet and affectionate babies!

Update on past week of activity at Lions Royale
April 17, 2009
Wow, it's been a whole week since I posted an update on babies! They are now 3.5 weeks old. Time flies!
Lots of activities and excitement this week for the Lions Royale Ragdoll family.
The color and pattern of the kittens is becoming much clearer so I'll be sure to update with photos over the weekend.
These kittens are very slow to pick up on eating on their own. The routine has been me sitting on the floor beside their bed, babies come out crying to me and they climb up onto my lap all by themselves to get their meal. I try to feed one at a time but they know very well how to get onto my lap and they climb back up as quick as I set them down! I use a big feeder syringe and it's too cute to see these five little faces turned up looking at me and waiting for their yummies. Now that they are cutting teeth it's a bit of a challenge to keep my fingers out of the waiting mouths!!
I'm trying to encourage them to eat from a plate but they haven't quite mastered that. Soon! Annie doesn't seem to have much milk so I'm feeding three times a day.
Lots of Show news for April
It seems that this was the month for Colorpoints!
LIONSROYALE ARTIO who's in Hong Kong is now a CFA CHAMPION after his first show the first weekend in April. Artio is a RED COLORPOINT male and he will continue on for his Grand Championship. Many thanks to Leo and Margaret of CatzMap Ragdolls!
CCA/CFA Champion LIONSROYALE WHIPPETTE has only one point to get this weekend to be THE VERY FIRST COLORPOINT
GRAND PREMIER in CFA!! What an incredible achievement for a FEMALE and a rare
LILAC COLORPOINT at that!! We will be in the annals of CFA history.

Kudos and THANKS to Brigitte and Luc of Chiffondolls for their hard work and dedication in taking our beautiful girl out. Whippette can now retire and enjoy her pampered life.
This weekend we have another colorpoint Ragdoll, a LILAC COLORPOINT named LIONSROYALE CHARMING CHICO who will be shown in TICA. I hope Chico does well and achieves his championship or better!
LIONSROYALE TIGGER, SEAL LYNX POINT MITTED, went out to her first show, a big three day show, in Maine. Little Tigger was in the kitten class so she wasn't vying for her championship. It was a good experience for her and she was very mellow about the whole experience. :) Thanks to Dorothy and Joseph of Mainelycountry Ragdolls for taking their baby girl out.
LIONSROYALE SAMANTHA EREVAN, BLUE LYNX POINT, in Quebec entered her first show in CCA. She was in the kitten class so wasn't vying for her championship. She did very well and achieved a 7th best final out of 42 kittens which was very nice for her first show. This was her new moms first time showing as well so I'm very proud of them!
LIONSROYALE PENELOPE has flown to HUNGARY to live at DAISYDOLLS cattery. Hajni plans to take Penelope out to a very special FIFE association specialty show early May! I'm so excited to hear how Penelope does. Penelope was picked up in person at the Toronto airport which was just wonderful. She arrived purring and happy. Thank you Hajni for adopting our beautiful baby girl. I miss her terribly!
LOLA is due any time. Her due date is the 18th. She seemed like she was planning to have them yesterday but has held off. I imagine she'll have them very close to her date. So exciting!
My second eye surgery is scheduled for the 23rd of this month so there may be a slight delay in my response to emails etc again. I'll be happy to have this all finished.

Another Slide Show Photo Update of Annie Kittens!
April 10, 2009
Annie's babies are growing very quickly!
They want out of their cozy closed in nest so they can explore. I've let them out for limited exploration on a blanket outside the box. They were fairly content with that....for now.
They are crying for food so I'll start to supplement. The stuff I offered wasn't all that palatable to them but they were curious enough to taste it. Just a smidgen from a syringe.
The three baby boys will be going to pet homes. They are blue and seal bicolors! Handsome little guys already.
Enjoy the photos!

I took new photos today of the little ones and posted to the slide show page. I will post some on the Available kittens page even though they are all reserved at this point until those with deposits are notified of which babies are available for them to choose from. They are still young and will be evaluated before being offered as pets.
Enjoy the spring theme!

BABIES EYES HAVE OPENED!
April 3, 2009
The babies started opening their eyes this morning and most have their eyes completely open this evening! That's pretty quick. Normally it's a couple days before they are fully open.
They are very active already and oh so cute! They are complaining about being in the dark box now that their eyes are open. I'll move them into something a bit more open so they can see their surroundings.
New photos tomorrow that should show very well what pattern and color they are. I don't use a flash so there's no danger to their newly opened eyes.
As for me, things are still like looking through a funhouse mirror right now. The eye is slowly improving every day and I'm quite pleased with that.

Please note: Responses to emails and updates will likely be delayed
April 1, 2009
Hello Friends
As many of you know, I was waiting to have eye surgery - intraocular lens transplants. One has been completed but it will be a while before good vision is restored. It seems to be a success and I'm thrilled! The second eye is to be done mid to late April. This means that I most likely won't be updating quite as frequently and response to emails will be delayed. Having one eye that is viewing a bright and colorful world without a smoglike haze is amazing. I can't even imagine how I've gone on this long living in a darkened, greyish world!!
Thanks to all for the kind words and well wishes, it's much appreciated!
Thanks too for your patience as I adjust to be able to read and see the computer! So far the repaired eye isn't able to focus on small print so I'll need to be patient myself.
