Rosemary and Buzzby babies have arrived!!

May 6, 2009

Rosemary gave birth to a large litter of babies on Wednesday!

I will update with photos once she allows me. She is very protective of her kittens for the first week and I don't want to upset her unduly.

So far all are doing well, Rosie is a big girl and has lots of milk for the babies.  She likes her food so she's quite happy to have all the extra yummy stuff that I prepare for her.

It looks to me that she has mostly male kittens in cream and red.  That was just a quick peek as they were born.

I'm in for my second eye surgery tomorrow so I may not respond to mail for a day or so after.  I apologize to those that I haven't emailed back yet.  I'm still catching up on back emails and promise to send out answers to your questions by the weekend.  Babies are keeping me hopping here!  Not much time to be online.  :)

Playing with baby kittens.......it's a tough job.....hahaWink

On the long weekend I will have an open house for any who would like to visit.  I would like to do this on the Friday as I will have the whole day free.  That's May 15th.  The Saturday I will only be available from 1:30 pm on so Friday is definitely the better day.

If you would like to attend on Friday please let me know. I'd like to arrange for one day but not both so I'll arrange whichever day the majority will be able to come and see us.

Small babies won't be able to be viewed or handled.   This visit is to meet the resident Ragdoll adults and young adults only.  Once the smaller babies have had their first vaccinations they can be visited a week later.   This is a safety precaution for our babies.  Getting vaccinated is stress enough and they need time to adjust to that and begin to develop before being handled by strangers who may own cats already.
